Traditionally, it is made into a paste with a little bit of water and then applied between the eyebrows or on the forehead to cool the nervous system and to stimulate spiritual energy. Sandalwood is also a holy offering used in the performance of puja.  This organic product is carefully made in Amma's ashram in India.
